If you require a late arrival, please contact us in advance. If we are not notified of a late arrival, your pitch will be held until 12 PM the day after your scheduled arrival. After this time, it will be released for re-sale and your booking will be treated as a cancellation, with your payment retained by Lansdown Campsite.

All guests must check in using the gate code sent via email during the booking process. If the gate is already open upon your arrival, the gate code must still be entered to confirm your check-in.
-
Guests are permitted to bring one car per tent booking. If a guest wishes to bring an additional vehicle, it is classed as an add-on, and a nightly charge will apply.
All add-ons—including additional vehicles, facilities, and dogs—must be booked and paid for in advance. We reserve the right to refuse any add-ons that have not been pre-arranged. -
Visitors are welcome on site, but we ask that no more than two adult visitors (plus any accompanying children) are present per pitch at any one time. A day visitor charge of £5 per car applies upon arrival. Visitors are bound by our Terms and Conditions and must adhere to campsite rules.
-
As our site is located in a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury, or inconvenience caused by weather, plants, trees, insects, animals, or wildlife.
-
Lansdown Campsite accepts no responsibility for damage, loss, or theft of guests’ belongings during their stay.
-
We may approve a vehicle to stay on-site, but this does not guarantee its safety, nor do we accept responsibility for the safety of its occupants.
-
Guests are entirely responsible for their own property and for the behaviour of their party at all times.
-
In the event of a complaint, please speak to a member of staff immediately.

Campsite Rules – for all campers at Lansdown Campsite
-
All fires must be off the ground and contained in fire pits, using only the wood sold by Lansdown Campsite. You are not permitted to use your own wood or collect wood from the surrounding area. During very dry periods, only fire pits provided by us may be used. In extremely hot weather, fires may be prohibited entirely due to the risk of fire spreading.
-
Dirty water, rubbish, and any waste/recycling must be disposed of in the designated areas.
-
Children must be properly supervised at all times and in all areas of the campsite. Please do not allow children to run between tents or disturb other guests.
-
No amplified music—such as car stereos, builder’s radios, soundbars—or musical instruments like bongos or drums may be played on site during quiet hours (after 9:00 PM) or at any time if it disturbs other guests.
-
Reports of inappropriate behaviour, foul language, excessive alcohol consumption, or recreational drug use will result in immediate termination of your stay without refund. We reserve the right to cancel or terminate your stay without prior consultation or compensation if you or any member of your party behave inappropriately toward other guests, staff, campsite property, or the property of other guests.
-
For safety reasons, drones and kites are not permitted at Lansdown Campsite.
-
The use of generators is not permitted on site.
-
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and supervised at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets immediately. A maximum of two dogs per booking is allowed.
-
Please take care not to damage the site or surrounding area. Trees, fences, buildings, equipment, and livestock must be treated with respect.
Cancellation Terms
-
All cancellations must be confirmed via email and sent to lansdowncampsite@gmail.com as soon as possible. Please include your name, booking reference, and reason for cancellation.
-
Refunds will be applied based on the date we receive your cancellation email:
-
14 days before arrival: Full refund (minus a 10% administrative fee)
-
7 days before arrival: 50% refund
-
3 days or less before arrival: No refund

Cancellations due to bad weather, transportation issues, non-arrival of party members, illness, late arrival, early departure, or fire bans are not eligible for refunds. No refund will be issued for unused camping nights.
-
If we are required to cancel your stay due to circumstances within our control, we will do our best to offer you an alternative pitch or site of a comparable standard—subject to availability—either within the same booking season or the following season (additional fees may apply if prices differ). No other compensation will be provided.
-
Force Majeure, including adverse weather conditions, is not within our control and therefore not eligible for refunds (please see further details below).
Guests Unforeseen Events
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance, as we do not provide refunds for unforeseen events.
“Unforeseen events” are defined as, but not limited to: bereavement, jury service, personal illness or illness of someone in your party, risk of contagious disease, redundancy, and unavoidable work commitments. We strongly advise that anyone who becomes ill with a highly infectious disease acts responsibly and avoid public areas and contact with other guests. If in doubt about the risk of exposing others (including members of your group) to a contagious disease, please seek medical advice. Some infectious diseases can have serious health implications (including the risk of death), and we reserve the right to ask any guest to leave the site if they are not acting responsibly or are deemed to be intentionally putting others at risk.
If We Cancel Your Stay
In exceptional circumstances, including ‘Force Majeure’, it may be necessary—and at the discretion of our staff—to cancel part or all of your stay on safety grounds. In such cases, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Force Majeure – Adverse Weather Conditions
Lansdown Campsite is not responsible for anything that adversely affects your stay and is beyond our control. These events are known as Force Majeure and refer to situations we could not reasonably foresee or prevent. These include, but are not limited to: war, civil unrest, industrial action, terrorism, natural disasters, fire, adverse weather, flooding, disease outbreaks, and pandemics.
We will do our best to manage any problems caused by a Force Majeure event but are under no obligation to do so and shall not be liable for any losses or additional expenses incurred as a result.
Marketing/ Photography
During your stay at Lansdown Campsite, members of staff may take promotional photographs of guests enjoying the site for use on our website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter). We never publish guest names. However, if you do not wish for yourself or your family members to appear in any promotional material, please let us know.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or attempts to limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for us to exclude liability.
If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for the loss or damage you suffer that is a direct and foreseeable result of our breach or gross negligence. However, we are not responsible for losses that are:
-
not foreseeable at the time the contract was formed,
-
not caused by our breach,
-
